Privacy Policy

Little Lamb Bible is a learning app that helps kids explore Bible stories and other life skills through quick, playful card games. We built Little Lamb Bible for our own children first, and we take privacy — especially children's privacy — seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.

Playing without an account

By default, Little Lamb Bible works fully on the device with no sign-in. Lesson progress, points, and streaks are stored locally in the browser only. We don't receive any of it.

If parent accounts are enabled later

Parent accounts are currently unavailable in the public beta. Before enabling them, we will provide the required parent notice. The planned account design would collect:

• Parent email address — from email sign-up or Google sign-in, used to secure the account and (only if the parent opts in) to send occasional progress reminders.
• Each child's player name and avatar — the player name is assigned by us, not typed. We pick it from a fixed list of harmless words, like “Brave Lion 42”, and your child can roll a different one but cannot write their own. That way a real name can't end up on a screen anyone else sees. We do not ask for, or store, your child's real name.
• Learning activity — lessons completed and points (XP), so progress is saved across your family's devices.

That is the complete list. No real names, no birthdays, no photos, no addresses, and no box a child can type anything into. A parent can see exactly this list for their own family, at any time, under For grown-ups → Your child's data in the app.

How we use information

• To save and sync a child's progress across the family's devices.
• To show the points leaderboard — only if a parent switches it on. It is off unless you choose it, and choosing not to use it changes nothing else: XP, levels, badges, streaks and saving across devices all work the same either way. If it is on, other families see only the assigned player name, never a real name and never your email.
• To send a parent reminder emails — only if the parent turns this on, and they can turn it off anytime.
• To keep the service secure and working.

What we never do

• No advertising and no ad tracking inside Little Lamb Bible.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
• No collecting more than we need to run the app.

Children's privacy

Little Lamb Bible is intended for children, and accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian. Player names are assigned from a fixed word list, never written by a child, so nothing a child types can identify them. A parent can review and delete their child's data directly in the app, under For grown-ups → Your child's data — deletion is immediate and there is no recovery window. You can also email us at the address below and we will act promptly.

We maintain a written Data Retention Policy and a written Information Security Program covering what we keep, for how long, and how it is protected. Ask us for a copy at the address below and we will send it.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it to run the app for your family, and we delete it when that need ends. Without an account, nothing leaves the device and there is nothing for us to keep.

• Parent email and password, your child's assigned name and avatar, lesson events and points, and your reminder-email choice — kept while your family account is active, and deleted with the account.
• Server and security logs — kept up to 30 days to keep the service secure and working, then deleted automatically.

An account with no sign-in for 24 months is deleted after we email the parent. When a parent deletes a child's data in the app it is removed immediately; a deletion request by email is completed within 30 days. We never keep children's information indefinitely, and never for any purpose other than the ones on this page.

Our information-security program

We keep a written information-security program, reviewed at least once a year. It covers who can access family data (only the operator, for support), how the service is protected (row-level security so each family sees only its own data, encrypted connections, passwords never stored in plain text, sign-in secrets kept in a password manager and never in the app), how we check for problems, and what we do if something goes wrong (we would tell affected parents promptly). Notice to parents before an account is created

Before a family account can be created we show — and email — a plain-language notice listing exactly what we collect, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to review or delete it, and we ask the parent to agree. The account is created only from the parent's email address and a confirmation is sent there; a parent can withdraw consent at any time in the app or by email. Little Lamb Bible works fully without an account.

Where data is stored

Account data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase) using industry-standard security. Sign-in is protected, and passwords are never stored by us in plain text.

Your choices

• Use Little Lamb Bible without an account (no data leaves the device).
• Leave the leaderboard off — it is off unless you switch it on, and everything else still works.
• Opt out of reminder emails at any time from the app or the unsubscribe link in any email.
• See and delete your child's data yourself, in the app, under For grown-ups.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your family's data by emailing us.
